Seven precautions should be taken when installing the balance valve

The installation of the balance valve should pay attention to seven points.

1 The installation position balance valve can be installed on the water supply pipeline or on the return pipeline (only one installation is required in each loop). For the primary loop side of the thermal station, it is recommended to install the balance valve on the return water pipeline with lower water temperature for the convenience of balancing and debugging. The balance valve on the main pipe should be installed after the water pump in the water supply main pipe (downstream of the water pump) to prevent possible cavitation of the water pump due to low pressure before the water pump (after the valve)

2 Try to install the balance valve on the straight pipe section as much as possible. Due to the flow measurement function of the balance valve, in order to ensure stable water flow and measurement accuracy before and after passing through the valve, if conditions permit, the balance valve should be installed on the straight pipe section as much as possible. III Pay attention to the balance between the new system and the original system. When a new system with a balance valve is connected to the original heating (cooling) pipeline network, pay attention to the balance of water distribution between the new system and the original system to avoid the water resistance of the new system (or modified system) with a balance valve being higher than that of the original system, which may result in insufficient water flow

IV The opening of the balance valve should not be arbitrarily changed. After the installation of the pipeline network system and the testing conditions are met, intelligent instruments should be used to debug and adjust all balance valves, and the opening of each valve should be locked to achieve hydraulic balance in the pipeline network. During the normal operation of the pipeline system, the opening of the balance valve should not be changed arbitrarily, especially the opening locking device should not be changed

Fifth There is no need to install a shut-off valve. When repairing a certain loop, the balance valve on the loop can be closed. At this time, the balance valve acts as a shut-off valve to cut off the water flow, and after the repair is completed, it returns to its original locked position. Therefore, if a balance valve is installed, there is no need to install a shut-off valve

VI When adding (or canceling) a loop in the system, it should be re debugged and adjusted. When adding (or canceling) a loop in the pipeline system, in addition to adding (or closing) the corresponding balance valve, in principle, all newly installed balance valves and balance valves in the original system loop should be re debugged and adjusted (the branch balance valve in the original loop does not need to be readjusted)

Seven The principle of non reversible balancing valve is the reverse adjustment inside the valve body. When the inlet pressure increases, the diameter automatically decreases, reducing the change in flow rate, and vice versa. If reversed, this regulation system will not work. And the valve plate that plays a regulating role is directional, and reverse pressure can even reduce or even seal the flow. Since the installation of the balance valve is for good heating, there is no problem of reverse installation. If it is a reverse installation, it is a human error, and of course it will be corrected
